What this page is, and is not. These are the terms for using this website, together with the membership terms we can state precisely today: who provides the service, what it costs, how it renews, how to cancel, and where it is available. A longer membership agreement — covering liability, warranties and how disputes are resolved — is with counsel and is not published yet. We would rather say that than post invented legal text that reads more official than it is.
Who you are dealing with
Terve Health is the consumer brand of Heartlab Medical PC, a licensed medical practice. The practice is the party you contract with when you join, the provider of the clinical service, and the recipient of your payment. Laboratory testing is performed by independent CLIA-certified laboratories. Your panel is ordered, your results are reviewed, and your plan is written by licensed physicians of the practice, who exercise their own professional judgment.
What the membership is
One membership, one price: $199 per year, cash-pay, no insurance involved. It covers:
- the laboratory panel, including the draw fee;
- a licensed physician's review of every result;
- a written review, signed by that physician; and
- a personalized plan based on what the panel shows.
Every member receives the same panel. We sometimes advertise the panel in different ways — including, at the moment, advertisements that name a different number of biomarkers — but there is one product, at one price, and what you receive does not depend on which advertisement brought you here.
What it does not cover
The membership price covers the panel, the physician's review and your plan. It does not cover care that follows from them. Follow-up testing, imaging, an in-person visit, a procedure, medications, or treatment by any provider are not included and are billed separately, by whoever provides them. A finding on your panel may lead to costs you did not plan for; that possibility is part of what you are buying.
Price, renewal and cancellation
- You are charged $199 when you join, and your membership runs for one year.
- It renews automatically each year at the same price, until you cancel. This is stated again on the payment form itself, above the button.
- We email you 30 days before any renewal charge, telling you the date and the amount.
- You can cancel at any time from your account at my.tervehealth.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership continues until the end of the year you have already paid for, and you keep everything you have already received. Cancelling does not by itself refund the year in progress.
Refunds
Two rules are settled and we state them plainly:
- If a physician decides not to order testing for you, you are refunded in full. Your purchase is a request for testing, not an order — see the Request for Laboratory Testing & Results.
- If we cannot serve your state, you are not charged at all. See the next section.
Beyond those two, we do not yet publish a general refund policy for the stages between payment and your written review. Rather than imply a rule that does not exist, we will say what is true: write to support@tervehealth.com and a person at the practice will deal with it. A published policy is owed and is coming.
Where the membership is available
A physician can order this panel only where the practice is licensed and open. Today that is California, Nevada, Montana, Nebraska, New York and Michigan.
If you live elsewhere, you can still complete the checkout form. You will not be charged. We take your details and hold your place, your payment method is saved but not billed, and we contact you as availability opens. Nothing is ever charged without an email to you first. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
The clinical documents
The care itself is governed by documents you agree to at checkout, issued by Heartlab Medical PC:
- Telehealth Informed Consent
- Request for Laboratory Testing & Results
- Authorization for Use & Disclosure of Medical Information — a separate instrument, agreed to separately
We record which version of each document you accepted, and when. The practice's Notice of Privacy Practices is a separate document and is still owed; we would rather tell you it is missing than link you to something that does not exist.
The content on this site is educational
The biomarker library, the guides and the comparisons are written to be accurate and are reviewed by licensed physicians, but they are general education about laboratory tests. They are not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment recommendation for you specifically. Reading them does not create a doctor-patient relationship with anyone.
Do not use this website to make a decision about your own care without a clinician. Do not delay seeking care because of something you read here. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. This site is not monitored for emergencies, and neither is the email address at the bottom of this page.
Content is dated. Laboratory reference ranges, prices and clinical guidance change, and a page that was accurate when it was published can go stale. We date our pages so you can judge for yourself; we do not promise that every page is current at the moment you read it.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, link to, quote and cite anything here — including with attribution in an AI assistant's answer, which is a use we actively want. What we ask you not to do is narrow: do not submit other people's personal information, do not attack or overload the site or its forms, and do not misrepresent this content as clinical advice from Terve Health to a specific person.
The Terve Health name and wordmark are ours. Other companies named on this site — including in our guides — own their own marks, and we name them only to identify the services they provide.
Your privacy
What this site collects, the analytics and advertising measurement it actually runs, what is never sent to an advertising platform, and how to be removed are all set out in the Privacy Policy. The short version: we run Google Analytics with health-revealing page addresses cut down first, and a Meta pixel on the homepage, checkout and welcome pages only — never on a biomarker or guide page, never reading the checkout form, and never carrying anything clinical.
What is still coming
A full membership agreement — limitation of liability, warranty disclaimers, dispute resolution and governing law — is in legal review, as is the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices. When they publish, the membership agreement will appear at this URL and the clinical documents will be reissued in counsel's language at their existing URLs. Until then, the terms on this page and in those documents are the ones that apply.
