A lab report has two problems. The first is what it doesn’t include — a standard physical measures roughly 20 analytes, and the markers that move earliest, like fasting insulin, ApoB, and Lp(a), are usually not among them. The second is the word “normal.” Lab reference ranges describe the population that gets tested, not the levels associated with staying well for decades — you can sit comfortably inside every normal range while three numbers quietly drift the wrong way.
This library exists to close both gaps. It covers the every marker on the panel on the Terve Health panel — what each one measures, where optimal actually sits and why it differs from the lab cutoff, and what a high or low value is associated with. Every published page is written to be read before or after your own draw, and every Terve Health result is reviewed by a real physician, not just mapped to a range.
In-depth pages are rolling out marker by marker — each one ships complete or not at all. Markers without a page yet are listed so you can see the whole panel.
Metabolic — 19 markers
How your body handles fuel. The earliest drift on most panels starts here.
Fasting Insulin · Hemoglobin A1c · Fasting Glucose · HOMA-IR (calculated) · Uric Acid · Adiponectin · Leptin · C-Peptide · Triglyceride/HDL Ratio (calculated) · Fructosamine, and the rest of the metabolic panel.
Hormones & thyroid — 18 markers
The signaling layer: energy, mood, cycles, recovery.
TSH · Free T4 · Free T3 · TPO Antibodies · Thyroglobulin Antibodies · Testosterone (Total) · Testosterone (Free) · SHBG · Estradiol · DHEA-Sulfate (DHEA-S) · Cortisol (AM) · IGF-1, and the rest of the hormone panel.
Cardiovascular — 24 markers
The particle counts and pressure signals that build silently for decades.
Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) · Lipoprotein (a) · LDL Cholesterol · HDL Cholesterol · Non-HDL Cholesterol · Triglycerides · Total Cholesterol · hs-CRP · Homocysteine · NT-proBNP · LDL Particle Number · Omega-3 Index, and the rest of the cardiovascular panel.
Kidney & liver — 16 markers
The filtration and processing organs — quiet until they aren’t.
eGFR · Creatinine · Cystatin C · BUN · Albumin · Total Protein · ALT · AST · GGT · Alkaline Phosphatase · Total Bilirubin · Urine Albumin/Creatinine, and the rest of the kidney & liver panel.
Blood & nutrients — 21 markers
Oxygen carriage, iron stores, and the vitamins your cells actually run on.
Ferritin · CBC with Differential · Iron & TIBC · Transferrin Saturation · Vitamin D (25-OH) · Vitamin B12 · Folate · Magnesium (RBC) · Zinc · Hemoglobin · Platelet Count · RDW, and the rest of the blood & nutrients panel.
Inflammation & immunity — 12 markers
The slow-burn signals behind most chronic disease.

How the panel becomes a plan
Reading about markers is the start. Terve Health measures all of them in one fasting draw at any of 2,000+ Quest locations — a licensed clinician orders your panel, and a real physician reviews every result and writes you a plain-language plan: what’s excellent, what’s drifting, what to do next. If something needs real follow-up, there’s real care behind the results — never a PDF and a “discuss with your doctor.”
Terve Health measures and helps you understand your biomarkers; it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent disease. Laboratory testing performed by Quest Diagnostics®; testing is ordered and results are reviewed by licensed clinicians at an independent medical practice.
